The event is specifically designed for pilots who have basic cross-country experience but are new to competition flying. Tasks will be set with safety as the primary consideration, taking into account weather conditions and pilot skill levels. Experienced mentors will guide participants through all aspects of competition flying, including: • Task planning and strategy • Weather interpretation • Safe decision-making in the air • Navigation and GPS usage • Competition rules and scoring systems Each day will conclude with a detailed task analysis session where pilots can share their experiences, learn from each other, and receive valuable feedback from seasoned competitors. This competition serves as an ideal stepping stone for pilots looking to transition from recreational flying to the competitive paragliding scene in a supportive and educational environment.

The Location: Chabre As XCmag says: “Consistently brilliant flying weather, stunning routes over knife-edged ridges and limestone walls.” Chabre is a great place for competitions. The take-off area can host around 15–20 pilots at once, and we have two large landing fields, one right next to the campsite, where the HQ will be. The local mountains rise between 1300 and 1600 meters, with a usual cloud base from 2000 to 3500 meters, offering excellent XC potential. In a couple of hours, you can reach the main Alps and enjoy incredible views. The terrain mixes mountains and wide valleys, with light valley breeze on most days and plenty of safe landing fields. The aerology is interesting and forgiving, making it ideal for all levels. Chabre’s take-off faces southeast at 1336 meters, with a ridge stretching 15.8 km east to west from Laragne-Montéglin : perfect for setting great tasks !!!
